Call for Entries: 20th Annual Capitol Showcase Art Exhibition
We are excited to share an opportunity for artists across Alabama! The Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH) invites individuals with mental illnesses, substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, and co-occurring disorders to participate in the 20th annual Capitol Showcase Art Exhibition.
Since 2005, this inspiring showcase has celebrated the artistic talents of individuals in our community. This year’s exhibition will be displayed throughout May 2025 at the Alabama State Capitol in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month.
How to Participate
Artists, providers, or representatives must complete the ADMH online entry form and submit:
- A digital photo of the artwork
- A typed artist statement
Deadline to enter: March 28, 2025
Completed artwork due: April 18, 2025

SCAMHC is a 501c3 organization providing an array of services to mentally ill, substance use, and developmentally disabled individuals in Butler, Coffee, Covington, and Crenshaw Counties. We serve approximately 4,500 persons annually. Our ability to meet the needs of the uninsured is limited without the assistance of philanthropic agencies and local government support.
We are considered quasi-governmental since we are established by local governmental entities: Butler, Coffee, Covington, and Crenshaw Counties; Cities of Opp, Florala, Andalusia, Red Level, Greenville, Brantley, Luverne, Elba, and Enterprise.
