The reference staff of the Clearinghouse will respond to information requests on issues related to alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. The Clearinghouse also maintains an extensive document collection related to the nature, extent, and consequences of such substances in Canada. In addition, several databases have been developed to assist in providing information on these issues. Many of the links contained on the homepage lack descriptions which makes navigation slightly more difficult than it should be. Text is also available in French.

This organization was founded to lead state and national stakeholders in the development of comprehensive policy and programs for all those affected by problem gambling. Their purpose is to serve as the national advocate for programs and services to assist problem gamblers and their families. The website includes information about their programs and resources, as well as a section on Help and Treatment, which contains links to a counselor search, frequently asked questions, help by state, a national helpline, screening tools, and more. A good starting place to locate resources that may be needed.
