FY 2025 Meeting Schedule

The Board meets every fourth Thursday at 12:00 PM, except in October. A public meeting is held on the third Thursday of October at 2:00 PM. 

Meeting location: Administation Building, 820 South Three Notch Street, Suite B, Andalusia, AL 36420.

Please note: Lunch will be served at 11:30am for all meetings, except the public meeting. Meetings begin at noon. There is no scheduled meeting in November. Due to the holidays November and December meetings are combined.

Board Members

SCAMHB’s board consists of 39 directors appointed by the local governmental bodies previously listed. Our directors are volunteers who are charged with the legal responsibility to oversee SCAMHB. The Board employs an Executive Director who is responsible for the operations of SCAMHB.

Governance

Alabama's Act 310 established mental health boards to oversee the delivery of community-based mental health services. It empowers counties to form regional mental health authorities that provide care for individuals with mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. Our Board of Directors operates under Act 310, ensuring effective governance and service delivery in alignment with state regulations.
